Optimum Development’s Engineering Division provides a wide range of services, which include Transportation, Public works, Residential Site Improvement, Stormwater Management and Flood Control projects, Environmental Planning and Permitting, Wetland Delineations, Surveying and Construction Management. We have served as the lead design engineers and construction Managers from concept and real estate evaluations to final construction. OD is a multi-disciplined firm offering a variety of design approach and techniques, from initial practicable project conceptual phases to final design and construction. Our goal is to provide our Clients with practicable, cost effective and maintenance “friendly” projects using our vast experience.

Optimum Development’s construction teams monitor the project from start to finish. We work closely with contractor(s), owner and government agencies for effective control of engineering and construction schedules, progress, cost and overall project control.

Our experience and expertise in Construction Management helps us effectively monitor the projects, so that all phases of construction are carried out in accordance with the plans and specifications.

Earthwork

Moving and grading massive quantities of earth is the first step in any successful development project. Work begins in the office where our estimating team utilizes state of the art CAD software to prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and site models. This information is used to plot haul routes, borrow pits, and embankments which allows our crews to seamlessly phase jobsite operations. Once onsite, the firm employs GPS machine control on our machinery to maintain an unprecedented level of accuracy and efficiency while grading and shaping the earth. ODG performs many services including land clearing, mass excavation, sub grade preparation, road building, overburden removal, land reclamation, soil stabilization, and impermeable liner construction.

Wastewater Management

Optimum Development builds some of the first wastewater treatment systems in Northern New Jersey. Effectively managing this facet of site development is our specialty. Our vast experience in deep gravity sewers, pump stations, force mains, directional drilling, jacking/boring, and treatment plant construction provides our customers a high level of assurance that the project will be completed properly.

Stormwater Management

In recent years, state and federal mandates on the management of storm water runoff have dramatically impacted the way site developments are built. OD is an expert in the construction of large diameter piping, wet ponds, culverts, water quality devices, and underground retention/detention systems. We pride ourselves on knowing the applicable regulations and providing value engineered options to ensure compliance while at the same time providing savings for our customers.

Water Distribution Systems

OD is a leader in water system installations for both fire suppression and domestic services. Our crews perform our own wet taps, ranging in size from 1” – 24”. SCC also holds a well drilling license in the State of NJ for use on rural and residential projects.
